WHAT IS MVP?

It all began on a couch at 2am in the middle of lockdown.

When it came to picking a name for their business, Sophie and Dayne were sure of a few things: the name had to be strong, contain a reference to sport and be bigger than it first appears. After a couple of days brainstorming, it was Dayne who experienced the lightbulb moment while sitting on the couch at 2am staring at his notepad.

MOVEMENT

This word was a non negotiable. The ability to maintain, restore or progress movement is paramount in both Sophie and Dayne’s philosophy; a philosophy centred around the fact that movement is medicine. Whether it’s restoring spinal movement after a back injury, running that first marathon or simply getting out of bed in the morning - the team at MVP Health will aim to have you moving better each time you visit.

VITALITY

The use of the word vitality highlights the importance of being strong, active and healthy. It encompasses an overall sense of wellbeing - both physically and psychologically. Through the use of education, manual therapy techniques and exercise therapy, MVP Health is holistic and specific; which ultimately brings a sense of power, meaning and purpose to each and every patient.

PERFORMANCE

This one is all about smashing those goals! Once the team have guided a patient out of the initial painful or restrictive phase, it’s time to a) restore their ability to carry out desired activities or sport and b) implement strategies to prevent injuries from occurring in the future. This comes in the form of advanced physical assessments, including running evaluation, functional strength testing, exercise screening and prescribed gym programs.
