CHIRO vs PHYSIO?

Stereotypically most people believe Chiros and Physios don’t see eye to eye.

At MVP HEALTH

There is no difference other than the practitioners passion, area of expertise or skill set.

A Physiotherapist and a Chiropractor by trade are both ‘Musculoskeletal’ therapists who specialise in the diagnosis and management of bones, muscles, ligaments, tendons, nerves and other parts and systems of the body. Stereotypically, Chiropractors are practitioners who manipulate/perform adjustments on joints of the body, most commonly the spine. Physiotherapists are typically more exercise focused and have a significant reputation for helping the upper and lower limbs.

At MVP Health our Chiropractors and Physiotherapists are the same. They BOTH diagnose and manage all types of musculoskeletal injuries, including lower back pain, neck pain, nerve pain, shoulder injuries, joint pain and sporting injuries.

We believe in an evidence-based approach with the strong use of education, patient centred goals, manual therapy as indicated and exercise. There is no one “crack” or exercise that will fix your injury and what works for one individual may not work for the next! We will dive deep into finding the root cause of your pain and build a plan WITH you to achieve your goals.

So who should I choose?

The choice of which practitioner you choose is completely up to you! You can read more about each of our practitioners on the blog page. Here you might find that connection you are looking for!

If you have any further questions regarding your choice then please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Please note: this may not be the same for other clinicians or clinics around Sydney.
